Ocluse Interactive complies with the Data Protection Act, 2019 and the Data Protection Regulations, 2021.
2. Information You Provide
When you sign up for or use Ocluse, you give us certain identification information voluntarily. This includes your name, email address and profile photo. Some of the information is mandatory while others are optional. This information is necessary for the basic operation of our Services. Here, we will explain why we need this information and what use we put it to.
Users voluntarily provide the following personal information:
- Email Address
- Display Name
- Profile Photo
3. How Your Information is Utilised
The data collected serves purposes falling into the following broad categories:
- Identification: Purposes of identification and authentication in our systems and services.
- Communication: Facilitating the delivery of important information, updates, announcements, events and notifications via email or push notifications.
- Analytics: Analysing user interactions, scores and or achievements especially in the leaderboard.
We use your name to uniquely identify who you are, and it may or may not be your real name. It is important to note that your name will be publicly visible across the entire range of our Services. You are therefore advised to choose one wisely.
The main reason we collect your email address is for identification purposes. In essence, your email address is your unique identifier to us. We also collect your email address for your security and that of others. A valid email address is our way of authenticating that you are a real person. We do this to prevent malicious and spam accounts, which may ruin the experience for others, from being created. We also use your email address to communicate important changes to you. For example, we use it to help you recover your account, and to notify you of important changes. We assure you that we will not email about promotions and other Ocluse advertisements, unless you personally opt in. Also, your email is private and will never be publicly visible to anyone.
We collect a password from you to ensure that your account remains secure and that no unauthorised parties gain access to it. We assure you that your password is stored securely and cannot be viewed by anyone, including us. This also means that we cannot help you recover a lost password (you must reset it instead). We advise you to use a strong password and avoid using the same password for multiple different accounts.
Your Profile Photo
You may or may not provide us with a profile photo for use with our Services. It is noteworthy that your profile photo, if you provide one, will be publicly visible across the entire range of our Services. The nature of the profile photo you provide to us is of your own choosing, it may be something abstract like your insignia, or a pic of you, or some random cat idk. However, note that we take stern action against use of inappropriate content, and will lead to permanent loss of your Alox account. Keep it clean.
Other information we collect
Specific Services may also collect further information than what has been listed above. First, our Alox Service allows you to send and accept friend requests with other users. Your list of friends, friend requests and blocked users is available only to you and will not be publicly published in any form. Second, Alox Services allows users to send messages among themselves. Any communication you have with anyone will only be available to them. We do not monitor nor store any communication you have with anyone across Alox. However, that does not mean we permit abusive content. We reserve the right, therefore, to review communication of any user who has been reported and we have sufficient reasons to suspect that they acted in an abusive manner.
While using Alox Poker, you may opt into voice chat services. We assure you that Alox Poker will only record from your microphone for the duration of your game session, starting from the time you enter the game lobby to the time you leave the match. Even then, you will have complete control over when to mute or unmute yourself during such sessions. We do not keep any recordings of your voice communication with others. However, since we strictly forbid abusive and/or corrosive content, we reserve the right to record, store and review any such communications if we have sufficient reason to suspect that a user acted in such a manner as to cause unreasonable discomfort to other players. Again, keep it clean-clean.
4. Data Security
Ensuring the security of your personal information is our top priority. We implement industry-standard measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to external parties. Your data remains confidential.
6. Your Choices
Users have the right to update, correct, or delete their personal information. Changes can be made through the available services the user is using by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
